• Weekly Hours: 36 hours preferred; 48 guaranteed hours preferred per week

• Float: May float based on skill set

• Setting: Acute care unit with a mix of medical and surgical patients

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience
• Active RN license and current BLS certification
• Experience with charting and EMR documentation, preferably Epic
• Comfort working night shifts and every other weekend
• Strong communication skills, teamwork, punctuality, and reliability
• Patient-centered mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to medically and surgically complex patients
• Monitor patient status, respond to changing conditions, and collaborate with the care team
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Epic
• Support discharge-focused care for patients preparing to transition home or to the next level of care
• Maintain a professional, patient-friendly environment while following unit standards
• Adapt to floating needs as determined by skill set and unit workflow
• Work closely with interdisciplinary team members to promote positive patient outcomes
