Job Overview

We are looking for experienced nurses to join our team. This position primarily focuses on an Adult Surgical Unit with a limited number of Pediatric patient beds. Travel RNs may be required to float to other units as needed.

Work Schedule

This position will require working every other weekend and holiday, with a commitment to 12-hour shifts during the night.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in providing patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Document patient care according to established standards.
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with hospital policy, including instructing patients and families.
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support the patients' longitudinal plan of care.
• Apply critical thinking to enhance patient safety and experience, escalating issues to the appropriate chain of command as necessary.

Holiday coverage is required.

Experience Requirements

Minimum of less than 1 year of experience is required.
