Job Summary: The Medical Surgical Floor registered nurse position is located in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing patient care on a med/surg unit with a focus on ventilator management, orthopedics, and general medical-surgical patients. The position requires handling a patient ratio of 1:9 and may include floating within related units to meet operational needs.
Job Details:
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: BLS certification, COVID vaccination, New York state nursing license, minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, and EPIC electronic health record experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ventilated patients, orthopedic and general med/surg patient populations.
Float: Float rotation may be required within med/surg units.
Additional Information: Unit includes three med/surg beds sectionsvent, ortho, and general med/surgwith patient care based on specific diagnoses. Nurse and staff will work in navy blue scrubs, and the unit provides a two-day specific orientation. The position is traveler friendly, with available free parking or metered parking options.
