Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Franklin, WI. This opportunity is available due to vacant permanent positions and offers the chance to join a collaborative nursing team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting.
The ideal candidate is a compassionate, adaptable RN with strong Medical/Surgical experience who excels in patient assessment, clinical decision-making, and interdisciplinary teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult Medical/Surgical patients.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments.
- Monitor patient status and promptly communicate changes to the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the electronic medical record.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere to hospital policies, evidence-based practice standards, and patient safety initiatives.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience preferred
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- Current NIH Stroke Scale Certification
- Experience with Epic EMR is preferred
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team
