Location: Franklin, Wisconsin

Contract Length: 13 Weeks 

Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Schedule: 36 Hours/Week (3x12s)

Employment Type: Travel Assignment

 

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Franklin, WI. This opportunity is available due to vacant permanent positions and offers the chance to join a collaborative nursing team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting.

The ideal candidate is a compassionate, adaptable RN with strong Medical/Surgical experience who excels in patient assessment, clinical decision-making, and interdisciplinary teamwork.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult Medical/Surgical patients.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments.
  • Monitor patient status and promptly communicate changes to the healthcare team.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the electronic medical record.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, evidence-based practice standards, and patient safety initiatives. 

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience preferred
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Current ACLS Certification
  • Current NIH Stroke Scale Certification
  • Experience with Epic EMR is preferred
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team
