Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (MedSurg RN) – Night Shift

  • Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 19:00 – 07:00 | 36 Guaranteed Hours Per Week
    • Weekend & Holiday Protocol: Every-other-weekend (EOW) and every-other-holiday coverage required as scheduled.
    • On-Call & Cancellation Protocol: No on-call requirement. Hospital may call off/cancel up to 12 hours per 13-week assignment.
    • Floating Protocol: Floating outside MedSurg (to ICU, ER, or Behavioral Health) occurs only if candidate has documented experience; otherwise, floating is limited to MedSurg units.
    • Dress Code: Any color scrubs allowed; closed-toe shoes required.

  • Location Region: Dixon, Illinois (IL) | Both Travel and Local Candidates Accepted (Local rate rule applies within 50 miles)

Submission Hardstops [STRICT & NON-NEGOTIABLE]

  • Experience Baseline [HARDSTOP]: Minimum 1+ years of dedicated Medical-Surgical RN experience in an acute care setting required [HARDSTOP].
  • State Licensure [IN-HAND OR IN-PROCESS]: Active Illinois State RN License OR explicit confirmation that the IL licensure application process has been initiated [HARDSTOP].
  • Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]: Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support — Healthcare Provider) certification [HARDSTOP].
  • EMR Requirement [HARDSTOP]: Direct clinical proficiency with Epic EMR strictly required [HARDSTOP].
  • Drug-Free Policy Mandate [HARDSTOP]: Candidate must acknowledge understanding of a strict drug-free campus policy and produce a negative result on all drug screen panels [HARDSTOP].
