Job Summary: Medical Surgical Floor (MS) nurse position located in a healthcare facility. The role involves providing general inpatient care for adult medical and surgical patients, with a specialized focus on orthopedic and oncology care. The position requires experience in orthopedics, with a typical patient stay of 3 to 4 days and patient ratios of approximately 5-6:1.
Job Details:
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid NH or compact nursing license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, prior travel nursing experience, and experience with electronic health record systems such as Epic.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in orthopedic care is required.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information: The position involves caring for adult medical and surgical patients with a dedicated team focusing on orthopedic and oncology care. Orientation occurs biweekly. Scrubs in any color may be worn. Candidates must have been separated from the healthcare provider's staffing pool for at least six months to be eligible.
