Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry in Newburyport, MA. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment with guaranteed hours and a supportive team. We are currently addressing winter staffing needs and welcome local candidates.

As a Telemetry RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients. You will work 12-hour shifts, rotating between days and nights, with every other weekend and holiday required. The unit operates on a self-scheduling basis, allowing for flexibility while ensuring the schedule is balanced.

Key responsibilities include:

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
• Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years of Med-Surg or Telemetry experience
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a patient-centered focus

Ratios are as follows: 5:1 during the day shift (7a-11p), 6:1 during the night shift (11p-7a), with Telemetry ratios of 4:1 during the day and 5:1 at night. We strive to accommodate any special scheduling requests where possible.
