Key Requirements
Large hospital experience required
Current/recent Med/Surg experience
BLS – AHA or ARC
Must be comfortable with a 6:1 patient ratio
48-hour guarantee only
First to float
Float Pool
RN will float between:
Med/Onc
2 Surgical units
2 Medical units
May be assigned to any Med/Surg pod based on hospital needs.

Unit Details
128-bed Med/Surg unit
1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
Total-care environment
No PCAs on the unit
Remote telemetry monitoring
Occasional rhythm-strip interpretation
No routine drip titration
Respiratory therapy readily available
Charge nurse takes a patient assignment
3 shifts of unit-specific orientation
Schedule & Other Details
Start dates only: 10/12 or 10/26
Direct manager interview
Every other weekend
No holiday requirement
No call/standby
Navy scrubs
Hospital assigns staff based on need
First to float
Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
