Inpatient RN – 12-Hour Nights

Shift: 12-hour nights
Weekends: Up to every other weekend
Floating: Required as needed
Patient Population: Primarily adults

Position Summary

The Inpatient Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, comprehensive nursing care to an assigned group of hospitalized patients. The RN uses the nursing process to assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
• Evaluate patient response to treatment and interventions
• Provide direct inpatient nursing care to primarily adult patients
• Coordinate care with physicians and the interdisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Adapt to changing patient acuity and unit needs
• Float to other appropriate inpatient areas as needed
• Practice according to established nursing standards and ANA guidelines
