Registered Nurse | Med/Surg – Stroke Stepdown

Seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN for an adult Stroke Stepdown unit.
Position Highlights:
6:30 PM–7:00 AM
36 guaranteed hours/week
Must be willing to float
Epic EMR
64-bed unit
Adult patient population
Navy blue scrubs
Key Duties:
Provide nursing care for stroke and medically complex adult patients
Monitor patients with altered mental status and other acute conditions
Manage patients with renal, dialysis, COPD, CHF, pneumonia, and pulmonary conditions
Administer and monitor care using IV pumps, NG tubes, and feeding tubes
Assess patient conditions and respond to changes appropriately
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Maintain accurate patient documentation
Requirements:
2+ years of Med/Surg experience with Stroke Stepdown experience
Travel experience required
Active NY RN license
AHA BLS and NIHSS required
NIHSS may be obtained prior to start
Epic experience
Local and travel candidates accepted
