Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical Step-Down
Facility: Rome Health
Location: Rome, New York
Unit: Medical Acute Care – Step-Down
Shift: Nights, 7p–7a (12-hour shifts)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Sunday–Saturday rotation, 36 guaranteed hours/week
Candidate Type: Local and travel candidates welcome
Pay
Total Pay Rate: $70/hr
Weekly Gross Pay (All-Inclusive): $2,520/week
W2 Taxable Pay: $35.38/hr
Weekly Non-Taxable Stipend: $1,246/week ($34.61/hr)
Overtime: Daily OT after 24 hrs / Weekly OT after 40 hrs (per contract multiplier)
Requirements
Active RN license (NY or compact)
1–2 years of step-down/telemetry experience required
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Unit Details
RN-to-patient ratio: 6:1
Patient population: Adult/Geriatric, medical acute/step-down
EMR: Paragon and Pyxis
