Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Specialties

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a traveler position in the Department of Medicine Medical Specialties. This role requires strong clinical skills in a fast-paced ambulatory outpatient setting, specifically catering to patients with acute and chronic conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide in-person triage and direct patient care for various medical conditions.
• Conduct telephone triage and utilize clinical assessment techniques via phone.
• Assist in care coordination for general and/or GI surgical patients, if applicable.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience (within the last 12 months) in an ambulatory outpatient setting is required.
• Experience in telephone triage and clinical assessments is a must.
• Strongly preferred:
  • Experience in nursing visits for endocrinology, diabetes, or other medical specialty practices.
  • Experience administering injectable medications and conducting medication-teaching visits.
  • Familiarity with continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems, insulin therapy management, and patient self-management education.

Work Schedule:

• Shift options: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

Certifications and Licenses:

• BLS certification is required.
• Verification of nursing license and certifications is necessary.
