Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position located in a healthcare facility within Montana. This role involves monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, managing labor progression, assisting with deliveries, and responding to obstetric emergencies. The RN must be able to float to the Medical Surgical (Med Surg) floor when Obstetrics (OB) is closed, providing comprehensive nursing care in both settings. The position requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and the ability to support patients and families during childbirth.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Montana, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Stable patient care experience in Labor & Delivery, ability and willingness to float to Medical Surgical (Med Surg) floor, no minimum years of experience required
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Labor & Delivery and ability to handle obstetric emergencies effectively
• Additional Information: The position entails providing safe, efficient, and caring nursing services, including administering medications, performing cervical exams within scope, interpreting fetal monitoring strips, preparing patients for operative deliveries, and postpartum education. The RN plays a critical role in promoting positive birth experiences and achieving high standards of care.
