ECMO Specialist Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled ECMO Specialist Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract position within the Mechanical Circulatory Support (ECMO) unit. This role requires expertise in circuit management and is essential for providing high-quality patient care in critical settings.

Responsibilities

• Manage ECMO circuits and ensure optimal functioning of equipment.
• Provide direct patient care in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
• Conduct assessments, monitor vital signs, and document patient progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Float as needed to the CICU/CVICU based on staffing demands.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an ECMO Specialist with a focus on circuit management.
• Preferred 3 or more years of experience in CVICU/ICU settings.
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Preferred certifications include CES-A or E-AEC, and experience with LVAD management.

Temporary Assignment

This position is for an initial 13-week assignment, with opportunities for extension based on performance and organizational needs.

Work Schedule

Night shifts: 4 shifts of 12 hours each (19:00 - 07:30).
