We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Wound Care for a contract position in Plymouth, MA. This role is essential for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure the best outcomes for patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

• License Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
• Certification in wound ostomy and continence NOT REQUIRED.
• 1-3 years related work experience preferred.
• Experience with computer systems required, including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications, which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Access.
• Epic experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare providers to coordinate the care for patients from referral/consultation to discharge/follow-up.
• Assists with the pre-authorization process.
• Serves as contact and facilitator to receive consults and patient information.
• Coordinates and ensures all patient scheduling including but not limited to consultation, diagnostic, and treatment procedures.
• Gathers information for history and physical.
• Performs and documents evaluations and assessments of patients.
• Assists in ordering labs, x-rays, and diagnostic procedures.
• Works in collaboration with surgeons and physicians in educating the patients and their families in medical care.
• Assists in the development of patient/family educational materials.
• Participates in patient rounds and case conferences.
• Updates clinical knowledge and skills through consultation, formal and informal education, and review of literature for self and clinical team.
• Provides leadership for process improvement related to the care of these patients.
• Liaison and clinical expert to the Department of Quality & Safety for skin and wound-related serious reportable events.
• Leads NDNQI quarterly pressure injury prevalence survey efforts for the hospital.
• Maintains annual mandatory education requirements.
• Demonstrates a commitment to patients, colleagues, and the facility.
• Individual nursing practice reflects the goals of the hospital.
• Demonstrates professional responsibility.
• Participates in educational opportunities for professional growth, personal well-being, and as required for license renewal.
• Cannot have worked perm/travel/PRN for any facility within the past 6 months.
