Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care for pediatric and adult patients, including post-surgical and behavioral health populations. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Required Qualifications
Active Alaska RN License in good standing
Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (NLN approved)
Current BLS certification
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification (or willingness to obtain per facility requirements)
Pediatrics and Adult nursing experience strongly preferred
New graduates are welcome to apply (experience requirements vary by position)
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care from newborn through geriatric patients.
Perform patient assessments and reassessments every 24 hours.
Administer medications, treatments, and patient education.
Care for medical, post-surgical, and behavioral health patients.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
Supervise Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) and Unit Secretaries in coordination with the Charge Nurse.
Maintain accurate documentation and follow evidence-based nursing practices.
Utilize critical thinking and therapeutic communication to deliver safe, patient-centered care.
Skills & Qualifications
Experience caring for both pediatric and adult patients preferred.
Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of behavioral health patient management.
Experience with electronic medical records and standard clinical equipment.
