Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care for pediatric and adult patients, including post-surgical and behavioral health populations. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Alaska RN License in good standing
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (NLN approved)
  • Current BLS certification
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification (or willingness to obtain per facility requirements)
  • Pediatrics and Adult nursing experience strongly preferred
  • New graduates are welcome to apply (experience requirements vary by position)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care from newborn through geriatric patients.
  • Perform patient assessments and reassessments every 24 hours.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and patient education.
  • Care for medical, post-surgical, and behavioral health patients.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Supervise Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) and Unit Secretaries in coordination with the Charge Nurse.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow evidence-based nursing practices.
  • Utilize critical thinking and therapeutic communication to deliver safe, patient-centered care.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience caring for both pediatric and adult patients preferred.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health patient management.
  • Experience with electronic medical records and standard clinical equipment.
