Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in Lebanon, New Hampshire. This position involves rotating shifts on a fast-paced adult surgical unit primarily caring for trauma and acute care surgical patients. The role requires clinical expertise in trauma, post-surgical care, and telemetry, supporting a busy, high-acuity environment with specialized patient populations.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid New Hampshire Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact license with proof of state residency; BLS certification; at least 1.5 years of recent relevant experience, including handling chest tubes, IV drips (such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, amiodarone), lines, tubes, drains for post-surgical patients, trachs/laryngectomies, telemetry, complex wounds, and central lines with blood draws
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Level I Trauma center preferred, with several years at a Level II Trauma center acceptable
- Additional Information: The unit has two negative pressure rooms capable of serving COVID-19 patients. Experience on a busy medical surgical unit is essential. Nursing ratios are 1:4 during day shifts and 1:5 at night.
