Job Summary: Medical Surgical Nurse (MS) Nights Johnstown, PA. This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care in a medical-surgical unit within a regional trauma hospital. The role requires delivering patient-centered care and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
Job Details:
Certifications, Education, and Experience: NIH clearance, neuro experience preferred, minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, location in Johnstown, PA, with at least one year of relevant healthcare experience, specifically in medical-surgical nursing.
Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
Additional Requirements: Must be competent in managing dysrhythmia and be available for holiday shifts. Will be required to complete a dysrhythmia and math dosage test on the first day of orientation.
Responsibilities: Providing nursing care for adult patients with diagnoses such as cerebrovascular accident (CVA), transient ischemic attack (TIA), seizure, urinary and respiratory conditions. Setup and monitor cardiac monitors, utilize vital sign machines, and document in electronic health records using EPIC.
Additional Information: Candidates must have completed all required screenings, including Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, FBI fingerprinting, and PATCH PA State Police Clearance, prior to start.
