Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Neuro - $2,040 per week in Wilmington, NC

Job Opportunity – Neurosurgical / Medical-Surgical RN – North Carolina

Start Date: October 12, 2026
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 36 or 48 hours per week (no overtime until after 48 hours if applicable), 12-16 weekend shifts per contract

Highlights:

• Neurosurgical procedures and neuro diagnoses patient population
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Epic EMR with Pyxis medication system
• 13-26 week contract lengths accepted
• Interdisciplinary team support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• 36-bed unit with comprehensive orientation including 2 unit-specific shifts after hospital orientation

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license)
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS, ACLS, and CPI certifications preferred
• Experience with telemetry, IV management, and CVA patients preferred
• Neurosurgical or neuro experience strongly preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Willingness to float as needed and work assigned weekends
• Ability to serve on Storm/Hurricane Team during catastrophic events or disasters
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
