Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Neuro - $2,329 per week in Topeka, KS

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (Medical/Surgical Neuro) – Kansas

Start Date: October 5, 2026 (additional orientation dates available bi-weekly through November 2026)

Location: Topeka, Kansas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed per week, every other weekend rotation

Highlights:

• 31-bed specialty unit caring for acute and subacute stroke patients (ischemic and hemorrhagic), transient ischemic attack, neurological illnesses, and medical/surgical patients with behavioral health history
• Contract length: 26-51 weeks preferred; longer contracts receive priority consideration
• 1:6 nurse-to-patient staffing ratio with float to other post-surgical and medical/surgical inpatient floors
• Epic charting system with test-out option available for experienced users
• Magnet-designated, 586-bed tertiary care facility committed to high reliability and nursing excellence
• Holiday and RTO requests considered (1 holiday off permitted, maximum 10 RTO days for 26+ week contracts)

Requirements:

• Active Kansas or Multistate RN license (no compact pending, clean record required)
• ADN or BSN degree
• Minimum 1 year of acute care medical/surgical experience required
• AHA BLS certification required at time of submission
• CPI and NIHSS certifications are a bonus
• No first-time travelers; previous travel nursing experience required
• Immunization requirements: Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella immunity status (titer) or proof of vaccination; TDaP; TB documentation; Influenza vaccine or exemption (seasonal)
