Description:
This is a travel RN position specializing in orthopedics.
The unit has 36 beds and a staff of 27.
Day shift includes 1 charge RN, RNs to volume, 1-2 techs, and 1 secretary.
Night shift features 1 charge RN, RNs to volume, 1-2 techs.
Patient ratios are RN 5:1, with 8-12 patients per tech.
Equipment used includes immobilizers, braces, and cold treatment.
The electronic medical record system is Meditech.
Typical procedures performed include total joints (knee, hip, shoulder) and spine surgery.
Ideal candidates are energetic, have a good sense of humor, and are empathetic.
