Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Orthopedic - $1,936 per week in Greensboro, NC

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Orthopedic Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - EKG exam required - Experience with orthopedic and trauma patients - Able to manage total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements and repairs - Familiarity with safe patient handling equipment and orthopedic equipment Description: This position requires a registered nurse to work in the orthopedic specialty. The nurse will be responsible for pre-operative and post-operative care of orthopedic patients. The daily nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6, with a possible stretch to 1:7. Candidates must possess experience in managing both elective and trauma orthopedic cases. The nurse will use a charting system for documentation and must have experience with electronic medical records. Flexibility with scheduling is necessary, and punctuality is expected. All nursing staff must comply with the required EKG exam. This position requires working with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy and rapid response teams. Experience with various orthopedic equipment is essential for successful patient care. A commitment to patient safety and quality care is expected. No first-time travelers will be considered for this position.
