Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Orthopedic - $1,993 per week in Asheville, NC

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Orthopedic Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Nursing License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Nursing License - BLS Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Orthopedic Surgery. This position is in a unit with 32 individual rooms. The nursing staff includes a charge RN, RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and a health unit coordinator. Patient ratios are 5:1 during the day shift and 6:1 during the night shift. Common equipment used includes walkers, bedside commodes, bladder scanners, and vital sign machines. The electronic medical record system in use is Cerner. Preferred qualifications include hospital experience and orthopedic experience. Typical procedures performed on the unit include dressing changes, suture/staple removals, and wound vac maintenance. A successful candidate will be a team player, adaptable to a fast-paced environment, and possess a caring attitude. Weekend work is required, with every other weekend scheduled.
