Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Orthopedics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 1 year of prior Orthopedics experience License: Wisconsin or Compact License in hand Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - ACLS certification preferred - Epic experience preferred Description: Coordinates and administers nursing care to patients in a physician office or clinic setting. Utilizes the nursing process, which involves the assessment of the patient's physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs. Facilitates and evaluates patient follow-through and compliance with healthcare interventions. Complies with all established standards and practices. Utilizes the nursing process to provide ongoing patient care in an outpatient setting. Bridges episodic care in a long-term outpatient relationship. Assesses patient needs via phone and triages to the appropriate level of care for intervention. Facilitates, assesses, and provides teaching needs for patients, families, and significant others. Administers immunizations and medications according to established procedures. Facilitates the completion of diagnostic testing as ordered by the physician. Communicates effectively under a variety of emotional situations. Administers medications in a timely and safe manner, in accordance with policy and procedure.
