Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Orthopedic - $2,686 per week in Salem, OR

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Orthopedics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in Med-Surg or Telemetry License: Oregon RN license is not required at the time of application; pending licensure is acceptable. Certifications: BLS Certification required Must-Have: - Must have experience in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Must have experience with non-invasive airway management - Must have experience with oxygen protocol and peripheral line care/management - Must have experience with isolation precautions and PPE - Must have experience with rapid response team activation - Must have computerized documentation experience, preferably with Epic Description: Nurses will provide care on a specialty unit delivering care to patients with surgical and non-surgical musculoskeletal conditions. The unit sees patients with total joint replacements and other musculoskeletal surgeries. Nurses are not required to have orthopedic experience for consideration as education will be provided upon hiring. Daily patient ratios are 1 RN to 4-6 patients. CNA assistance will be available with ratios adjusted depending on days or nights. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Patient diagnoses will include disorders of the musculoskeletal system, orthopedical trauma, and elective surgical patients. The position requires willingness to float to meet facility needs if necessary. Essential skills include telemetry experience and the ability to manage multiple patient needs efficiently. Travelers may be required to float to nearby affiliated facilities if needed. Refusal to float may result in contract cancellation.
