Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $1,466 per week in Austin, TX

Description: This is a contract position for an RN specializing in Med Surg/Telemetry. The shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. No on-call requirements are necessary. The unit has a total of 30 beds and a staff of 60. On the day shift, there is 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator, 3 RNs, 3 LVNs, 3 Patient Care Technicians, and 1 Unit Clerk. The night shift has the same staffing structure. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5. Essential equipment used in the unit includes Welch Allyn Vital Signs, COWs, Hoyer lifts, PCA pumps, CareView Virtual Sitter, Telepsych, and Teleneuro. Electronic Medical Records are managed with Meditech. Typical procedures performed include Stroke NIH assessments, EEGs, gastric decompression, and wound care. A team-oriented and self-motivated personality is preferred for this role. The dress code requires navy scrubs and prohibits hoop nose piercings.
