Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 4 weekend shifts per schedule, 13-week contractHighlights:

• 30-bed neurology medical/surgical telemetry unit with 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• No call required – scheduled shifts only
• Collaborative team environment with experienced staff including CNCs, RNs, LVNs, and PCTs on each shift
• Modern technology and equipment including virtual sitters, teleneuro, and PCA pumps
• Meditech EMR system

Requirements:

• Current Texas RN license or ability to obtain
• BLS certification required
• NIH stroke scale certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and neuro medical/surgical patient populations
• Proficiency in typical procedures including stroke assessments, EEGs, gastric decompression, and wound care
