Approval will depend on facility needs. Facility may call off one shift every two weeks. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. This could impact travel assignments during the season from June to November. Preferred skills include accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care, chest tube management, and post-operative care. Daily patient census is approximately 36. Unit provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, social services, and pharmacy. Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics. Patient diagnoses may include diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease, seizures, cerebrovascular accidents, and transient ischemic attacks. This position requires a commitment to high-quality patient care and teamwork. All candidates should be prepared to fulfill compliance requirements prior to the start date. Previous staff must be separated from the system for one year before reapplying as a traveler. Candidates with a pending license may be considered if proof of application is provided. Candidates will not be cleared to report until the license is issued or active. RTO guidelines state that any candidate with more than 7 days off will need facility approval.
