Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) registered nurse opportunity available in Lubbock, Texas. This position involves working on a 30-bed orthopedic trauma unit within a short-term acute care facility. The role requires providing post-operative care, blood administration, wound management, and interpreting dysrhythmias, with shifts scheduled overnight. The position offers an engaging clinical environment with interdisciplinary support and varied patient diagnoses, including trauma, postoperative recovery, and COVID-19 cases.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license accepted), at least 1 year of experience in a hospital setting, experience with MS/Tele, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood administration, use of rapid response/code teams, peripheral line care/management, and wound care including wound vac management.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in trauma level II environments, community hospital experience, and travel experience.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Candidates should be prepared to work three of the five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). All specific scheduling requests and time off should be requested upfront during application. The assignment involves working on an orthopedic trauma unit with interdisciplinary support staff and specialized procedures like blood administration and wound management.
