Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $1,815 per week in Columbia, SC

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Medical/Surgical Telemetry experience required License: Current RN license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS certification required, NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Epic experience required Description: The position is for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse. The shift is 3 days per week, working the night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5. Every other weekend work is required. On-call duties may be needed, although rarely. Floating to other units may be necessary based on facility needs. Candidates with 2 years of relevant experience will be considered. First-time travelers are accepted. The role requires proficiency in managing various nursing tasks related to telemetric care. Clinical skills include cardiac telemetry, administration of medications, and patient assessment. Knowledge of managing dysrhythmias and using rapid response teams is essential. Interdisciplinary support is available, including teams for various specialized services. Candidates should be prepared for the possibility of emergency response assignments during hurricane season. Candidates with a pending South Carolina RN license will also be considered, provided proof of application is submitted. The facility is an acute care hospital with 304 beds and utilizes Epic for charting.
