Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical to join a fast-paced Inpatient Overflow Unit. The RN will provide high-quality care to general medical and surgical patients, collaborate with the healthcare team, and ensure safe, efficient patient care in a dynamic hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to medical and surgical patients.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor changes in condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Float to other units as needed.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BLS Certification required.
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical RN experience.
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced acute care setting.
