Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $1,843 per week in Seneca, SC

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in MS/Tele specialty License: State RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - At least 1 year of experience in MS/Tele to apply - Must be able to pass an EKG exam Description: The position is for a registered nurse in a medical/surgical/telemetry unit. The role requires floating based on the needs of the unit. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, subject to unit needs. Experience with an Omnicell medication system is preferred. Documentation must be completed using the EPIC system. The unit primarily cares for adult patients with orthopedic, general, and urology diagnoses. Travelers will float to units they are qualified for and perform tasks for which competencies have been documented. All travelers must complete pre-assignment testing and modules. Only qualified nurses will be considered for floating assignments due to census needs. There will be an expectation for managing various medical tasks including care of ports, blood product administration, and wound care. Team members should exhibit strong skills in patient care, including management of IVs, tracheostomies, and orthopedic trauma. The unit emphasizes interdisciplinary support from various healthcare professionals. This position requires an individual who can contribute positively to a collaborative healthcare environment. Nurses will support a daily census of approximately 23 patients and work with a patient ratio of five.
