Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $1,858 per week in Orangeburg, SC

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (06:45 - 19:15) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Must hold a valid state RN license or Compact license in hand prior to start Certifications: BLS Required; ACLS Required; NIH preferred Must-Have: Tele competency required Previous charge experience preferred Community hospital experience preferred Description: About the Position: Position/Specialty: MS/Tele RN Shifts are 3x12 hours, days from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM. Patient ratios are 1:5-6. Every other weekend is required. No on-call requirement. The traveler will need to float within scope to meet facility needs and float between like units. First-timers are accepted. Trauma level requirement is not applicable. Transportation necessary. Facility allows for one shift call-off every 2 weeks. Guaranteed hours are subject to the facility's needs. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. Travelers must complete all labs prior to any planned vacations during the compliance process. Module completion is required prior to the start date. Daily patient census is approximately 36. The unit serves adults and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Patient diagnoses include diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease, seizures, cerebrovascular accident, transient ischemic attack, and chronic respiratory disease. Skills required include accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care, pre and post cardiac catheter management, and telemetry monitoring. The unit is a community setting with 43 staffed beds.
