TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Orangeburg, South Carolina, 29118!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:45 - 07:15) Experience: 2 years required License: SC license or Compact license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; NIH preferred Must-Have: Tele competency required Description: Position/Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry RN Shift: 3x12s, Nights, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM Patient Ratios: 1:5-6 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend On-call Requirement: No Facility Float Requirement: Yes Required experience includes a minimum of 2 years. First-time travelers are accepted. Additional competencies include: Accessing and managing ports Blood product administration Cardiac telemetry Central line care and management Chest tube management CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident) management Feeding tube care and management Heparin protocols High flow nasal cannula usage Interpretation of dysrhythmias Isolation precautions/PPE Management of cardiac drips Peripheral line care and management Post MI management Pre/Post cardiac catheterization Pre/Post hemodialysis management Renal failure care Starting and maintaining IVs Telemetry monitoring Tracheostomy care and management Wound care and wound vac Patient population includes adults and geriatrics. Daily census is 36. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, social services, and pharmacy. Patient diagnoses include diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease, seizure, cerebrovascular accident, transient ischemic attack, and chronic respiratory diseases. Travelers should be aware of the potential assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs from June through November.
