Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $1,876 per week in Concord, NC

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: MedSurg/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 18 months Med/Tele RN experience License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience - BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Description: This facility has a total of 457 licensed beds and is designated as a Trauma Level III facility. It is recognized as a Teaching Client and a Chest Pain Center. Additionally, it is a Stroke Center of Excellence and a Bariatric Center of Excellence. The department has 10 beds with an average daily census of 8 patients. Patient types include those with chest pain, syncope, and angina. The RN-to-patient ratio is 1:5. Required skills include general Med/Tele skillset, stroke experience, and cardiac rhythm interpretation. Skills in trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, and NGT placement are also necessary. The RN should be experienced in drain and tube management, including various types of drains and foley insertion/management. Experience with medication management, including cardiac drips and blood products, is required. Support within the department includes a supervisor, charge RN, and resource RN for assistance with admissions and discharges. Additional support is provided by a 24/7 hospitalist and a combined effort for phlebotomy between RNs and an IV team. Technology in use includes an EMR system and various IV pumps and medication dispensing systems. Floating may be required within the region and scope of practice, with compensation for travel time between facilities during shifts. Scheduling includes a weekend rotation every other week and holiday expectations to work 75% of holidays. Up to 6 days off can be approved, excluding holidays, with a requirement to add time to the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.
