Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $1,876 per week in Lufkin, TX

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: Great communication and time management skills Description: Transitioned to a virtual integrated care nursing model. Must work the schedule given and cannot offer block scheduling. Unit has 24 beds with ratios of 6 patients per RN. RNs are required to read telemetry strips, as tele monitor techs monitor patients. Charge Nurse and House Supervisors are available for support. Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) are present with a ratio of 12:1. The unit treats patients with congestive heart failure, diabetes, pneumonia, chronic kidney disease, and medical/surgical telemetry patients. RNs will float to all medical/surgical units as needed. Shifts are scheduled by management, and weekend work every other weekend is required. Holiday work is also required. Medical equipment used on the unit includes CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow devices.
