General Med-Surg RN skills including IV starts, drain/tube management, wound care, NGT placement, and central line management.
Ability to manage non-titrating cardiac drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin gtts, and blood products.
Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a MedSurg/Tele position.
The facility has 174 licensed beds and operates as a teaching hospital.
The unit comprises 45 beds, focusing on general surgeries, orthopedics, med/tele patients, COPD, stroke, diabetes, and other general med-surg populations.
Patient ratios are typically 1 RN to 5-6 patients, with LPNs and CNAs maintaining similar ratios.
Support staff includes CNAs for daily living activities, receptionists, and team leads who assist with charge nurse roles.
A phlebotomy team and IV/VAT team are available for additional support.
All patients are monitored centrally, with 24/7 availability of nursing and intensivist support.
The technology in use includes an EMR system and various monitoring and dispensing equipment.
Floating may be required within the region and scope of practice.
Weekend rotations are scheduled every other weekend, with no call requirements.
Travelers will be expected to work a majority of holidays, with RTO requests yielding up to 6 days off excluding holidays.
