Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $1,878 per week in Charlotte, NC

Job Title: RN - MedSurg/Tele Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MedSurg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7 PM - 7 AM) Experience: Minimum of 18 months of MedSurg/Telemetry RN experience required License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; ONS preferred but not required Must-Have: - Cardiac rhythm interpretation skills - Experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone, manager approval required if no experience) - General medical/surgical skill set and care of patients with tubes/drains - IV start skills - Blood product administration - Wound care/dressing changes - Experience in acute care MedSurg for CNAs with knowledge of lift equipment (Hoyer) Description: This position is for an RN specializing in MedSurg/Telemetry. The unit comprises 34 beds with an average census of 32 and 3 surge rooms. Patient types include Med/Tele surgical cases such as ESRD, CHF, pneumonia, sickle cell crisis, diabetes/DKA, wounds, and acute/chronic renal failure. Travelers must be comfortable caring for hematology/oncology patients starting in Spring 2026, but do not require chemotherapy certification. Patient ratios are 1:5 during the day shift and 1:6 at night, with critical surge ratios of 1:7-8. CNA ratios are 1:12 for both day and night shifts. Support staff includes CNAs for patient care, receptionists, charge nurses, and a dedicated 24/7 telemetry monitoring team. The unit utilizes EPIC for electronic medical records and has a range of medical equipment for patient care. Travelers may be required to float to other facilities within the region as needed.
