Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $1,878 per week in Charlotte, NC

Job Title: RN - MedSurg/Tele Profession: RN Specialty: MedSurg/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 18 months in Med/Tele RN License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Ortho experience is required for specific unit. General Med/Tele skillset is required. Description: This position requires a registered nurse with experience in MedSurg and Telemetry. The facility has 207 licensed beds and is not a teaching hospital. The nurse will be assigned to a home unit on the first day of orientation. The patient types include CHF, COPD, chest pain workup, stroke symptoms, and respiratory issues. Testing is prioritized for various conditions. Patient ratios will be 1:5-6, with critical surges of 1:7-8. The certified nursing assistant ratio will be 1:6-12. Floating to various units within scope of practice may be required. The registered nurse will manage patient care, including cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, IV management, and more. Support within the department will be available through various staff roles. Staff will utilize EMR, IV pumps, and medication dispensing systems. Weekend rotations will be every other week. Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays. Requests for time off will be possible, with certain conditions. The schedule will cycle every six weeks.
