TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Charlotte, North Carolina, 28207!

Job Title: RN - MedSurg/Tele Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MedSurg/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience required License: Valid nursing license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Ortho experience, spinal precautions General Med/Tele skillset which includes: - Stroke experience - Cardiac rhythm interpretation - Tracheostomy care - Peripheral IV starts - Chest tube management - Nasogastric tube placement - Drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, foley insertion/management) - Patient-controlled analgesia pump management - Medication drip management including cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, and intravenous fluids Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse in the MedSurg/Tele specialty. The nurse will provide care for a wide range of patient types and common diagnoses. The assigned home unit will be determined on the first day of orientation. Patient types may include CHF, COPD, chest pain workups, strokes, and respiratory issues. The role will involve supporting various inpatient units and ED holding. The nurse will be expected to float to different units as needed. The patient-to-nurse ratio will generally be 1:5-6, with potential surges requiring a 1:7-8 ratio. Support staff within the department may include CNA, receptionist, and charge nurse, who may not have patient responsibilities. Phlebotomy services are available for peripheral blood draws. This position requires flexibility and may involve working weekends, holidays, and floating as necessary. The nurse should be prepared for a demanding yet rewarding environment with a focus on high-quality patient care. Free parking is available.
