Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680-$1,770
- Location: Weston, West Virginia

- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Schedule: 36 hours per week; primarily three 12-hour night shifts, with four 12-hour shifts also available
- Shift: Nights, approximately 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.
- Weekend Coverage: Weekdays with every other weekend rotation
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:5
- Electronic Medical Record: Cerner
- Floating: Emergency room and operating room areas as needed
- Contract Extensions: Possible
Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience, including acute care and telemetry nursing experience
- Current West Virginia or Compact Registered Nurse license; pending licensure may be considered for submission
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications through the American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred and may be required based on unit needs
- Strong telemetry nursing skills, including cardiac rhythm and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Experience caring for an assignment of approximately five patients preferred
- Ability to provide nursing care across the lifespan, including adolescents, adults, pediatric patients, and geriatric patients
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience is welcome but not required
Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate Registered Nurse care to patients in an acute care and telemetry environment
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
- Care for patients with complex medical-surgical conditions, including post-myocardial infarction, renal failure, stroke, and postoperative needs
- Manage oxygen therapy, non-invasive airway support, IV therapies, insulin protocols, heparin protocols, PCA pumps, feeding tubes, chest tubes, PICC lines, surgical drains, and wound care
- Administer medications and blood products safely while following established clinical protocols
- Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary support services to coordinate individualized patient care
- Respond effectively to rapid response events and code situations
- Float to designated areas, including the emergency room and operating room, to support patient care needs
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately in Cerner
