Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1.5 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have Skills/Experience: EKG interpretation and critical thinking skills Preferred Skillset/Experience: Manage discharges and admissions Basic cardiac drip knowledge Description: Orientation is bi-weekly. Facility has 294 beds. Joint Commission accredited. Offers cancer care, cardiac care, orthopedics, imaging, surgical services, and more. Patient population includes adults and geriatrics. Unit profile includes a telemetry role. Number of beds in the unit is 22. Patient ratios are 5:1 or 6:1. Equipment includes Welch Allyn V/S machine, Hoyer lift with weight scale, Abbott glucometer, computers on wheels, TR band, and Baxter IV pumps. EHR is Meditech EMR. Supervisor is clinical staff lead or charge nurse. Common diagnoses include CHF, CP, ARF, COPD, uncontrolled diabetics, CKD, and post-cardiac cath care. Candidate should be team-oriented and flexible. Required education is an associate degree; BSN is preferred. Dress code includes scrubs with no assigned color. Artificial nails are not permitted.
