Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med Surg/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a large healthcare facility License: Registered Nurse license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Strong Med Surg and Ortho experience - 1 year of experience with Epic EMR - Charge experience preferred Description: This position is for a Med Surg Orthopedic unit. Nurses will float to Med Surg/Tele units as needed. Candidates must have ACLS certification. An EKG exam is required during onboarding. A minimum of one year of recent experience in a large healthcare facility is required. Travelers will float to other units or campuses as needed. Staff will only float to units where they are qualified and have documented competencies. The daily patient census on the unit averages 26. Interdisciplinary support services include physical therapy, respiratory services, and others. Patients in this unit are typically adults with various diagnoses. Candidates should be prepared for a potentially high patient-to-nurse ratio. Documentation is required within a specified timeframe prior to starting. Modules are required for all nurses prior to starting the assignment. Travelers are eligible for reimbursement for time spent completing modules.
