Any call-offs or additional time-off could lead to cancellation. The expected patient ratio is 1:5-6. Contract staff will be required to work during catastrophic events or disasters. Floating to other units may be required. Must complete EKG testing prior to start for this specialty. Daily census is typically 41 patients. Common patient diagnoses include dementia, diabetes, COVID, pneumonia, and COPD. Unit supports interdisciplinary teams including IV, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Vaccination for flu is required, with exemptions considered.
