Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $1,927 per week in Knoxville, TN

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year travel experience required License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS (required to float to ICU), NIHSS (can obtain after being offered) Must-Have: Must be able to pass EKG testing before the start date. Must be open to floating to any MS/Tele, SD/PCU, or possibly ICU unit depending on skills/need. Description: This position requires a registered nurse to float between several acute care inpatient departments. Patient care responsibilities will include caring for a team of patients as the primary nurse. Nurses will float between various units, including short stay, cardiology, post-surgical, nephrology, neuroscience, orthopedics, pulmonary, and oncology. A patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:7 on day shifts. Travelers will typically work every other weekend, or 2 weekends per month. Experience with Cerner charting system is preferred. Key skills required for this role include managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draw, and telemetry monitoring. Candidates should also be familiar with medication administration, isolation precautions, and emergency response protocols. All travelers must adhere to RTO policies, which do not allow time off during major holidays. This position offers opportunities to work closely with interdisciplinary support services, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Nurses will need to collaborate with rapid response teams and provide essential patient education during care. All qualifications must be met prior to commencing the assignment.
