Must-Have:
Must be able to pass EKG testing before the start date.
Must be open to floating to any Med/Surg/Telemetry, Step Down/PCU, or possibly ICU unit depending on skills and need.
Description:
This role involves providing care for patients in various acute care inpatient departments while floating as needed.
You will be responsible for managing a team of patients as the primary nurse across multiple departments.
Patient diagnoses may include post-surgical, cardiology, nephrology, neuroscience, orthopedics, pulmonary, and oncology.
You may be required to float between departments based on staffing needs.
A weekend requirement includes covering every other weekend or 2 weekends per month.
The patient-to-nurse ratio averages 1:7 during the day shift.
Travel experience is required.
The position requires experience with charting systems, preferably Cerner.
Certification in BLS and ACLS is essential for this role, along with proficiency in relevant nursing skills.
Nursing skills required include managing ports, administering blood products, care and management of feeding tubes, IVs, and telemetry monitoring.
