Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MedSurg Oncology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 Years Required License: Active Nursing License Certifications: BCLS, NIH Must-Have: - 2 years of experience in MedSurg/Telemetry - Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response Skills - IV Therapy and Phlebotomy Skills - Respiratory Skills - Professional Topics and Skills in Isolation Precautions/PPE Description: RTO after booking is not allowed. Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly result in a cancellation. Unit accepts first-time travelers and locals. Target patient ratios are 1:6 with 36 beds. Must be willing to float to all areas holding MedSurg patients. Strong MedSurg background is required. Every other weekend shift is mandatory. Unit uses Epic and Pyxis systems. Daily census averages around 31 patients. Team includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and others. Candidate must be willing to float within/near the facility as needed. Candidates must adhere to all pre-approved time-off policies. All required modules must be completed prior to the start date. Completion of necessary pre-start modules is mandatory. Please note that the work setting handles a variety of patient diagnoses. Experience in oncology is preferred but not required.
