Description:
Please note that local travelers with permanent residence within 50 miles of the facility will not be eligible for a travel contract.
Floating is required.
Travelers regularly float between various like units within their skill set.
This position requires experience in Med Surg and Telemetry.
Shifts are scheduled for 3x12 during the nocturnal hours.
The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5 for both day and night shifts.
Weekend work is required every other weekend.
No on-call requirements exist for this position.
Charge nurse experience is necessary as there may be opportunities for charge responsibilities.
Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more.
The patient population can include various diagnoses as we float to fill the institution’s needs.
The nurse to patient ratio can vary depending on unit acuity.
Experience in managing dysrhythmias and cardiac telemetry is essential.
Nurses should be familiar with isolation precautions and personal protective equipment.
References covering one year within the last three years are required during the compliance process.
