Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred, NIHSS preferred Must-Have: - Previous charge nurse experience preferred - EPIC charting system experience required - Ability to manage various medical conditions and procedures Description: This position requires a registered nurse to work in a medical/surgical/telemetry setting. The nurse will be responsible for caring for observation patients, respiratory conditions, and general medical/surgical diagnoses. Palliative and end-of-life care, as well as psychiatric observation, will also be part of the role. The nurse should be prepared to handle patients with diabetes, surgical needs, and those requiring surgical observation. The ideal candidate must demonstrate flexibility with scheduling, including the possibility of floating to other facilities as needed. All travelers are subject to float across all assigned facilities if required. Candidates must successfully pass an EKG exam as part of the onboarding process. The position involves a patient ratio of 6:1 and requires skill in telemetry and the management of dysrhythmias. The nursing staff will work closely with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Compliance with facility policies and procedures is essential, particularly regarding attendance and punctuality. Candidates must have a thorough understanding of isolation precautions, wound care, and intravenous management.
