Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: Experience with EKG Must be willing to float between facilities if needed Description: The role requires expertise in the care of stable surgical patients. Registered Nurses will provide pre-operative and post-operative care. Candidates should be able to manage blood product administration and peripheral line care. Experience with high-volume patient populations is necessary. Common procedures include exploratory laparotomies, mastectomies, and cholecystectomies. Candidate must be knowledgeable in palliative care for patients. Other responsibilities include conducting assessments and providing patient education. Successful candidates should demonstrate proficiency in medication reconciliation. Communication with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and pharmacy, is expected. Understanding pain management and opioid analgesics is critical. Candidates will participate in rapid response situations when necessary. The ability to provide discharge instructions and follow isolation precautions is essential. Experience in managing wound vacs and central lines is preferred. Candidates must pass an EKG exam during compliance.
